Window “BUCK” Rivets – Small Head Solid Rivets – 1/8″ x 3/8″ Long – 1/4lb.

Description

Quarter pound of smaller head, Universal Head solid aluminum BUCK rivets for riveting hinges and brackets on Airstream window sashes. An aluminum solid rivet or “buck rivet” is a permanent, extremely strong mechanical fastener.

NOTE: This size of rivet was also used on 1940’s Airstream trailer skin and others.
The head of this rivet is TOO SMALL for installing a window frame into your trailer.

Quantity: 1/4lb. – Approximately 390 rivets.

Seen on:

• 1969-1993 Airstream trailer window sashes. For windows that have a sash (aluminum around glass)
• On the skin of 1940’s trailers.

Installation of a solid rivet requires access to both sides of the material being riveted. Installing buck rivets is normally two person operation.
You will need an air hammer riveting tool and a Buck Bar to mushroom out the rivet on the back side.

NOTE: For full size head rivets that Airstream uses on segments, or panels, or to fasten window and access door frames to trailers, use BUCK Rivets – Solid Rivets – 1/8″ x 3/8″ Long.
