Description
Door handle lock/latch replacement kit for your older Airstream trailer. Built-in deadbolt provides extra security. Durable die-cast zinc is polished chrome. Well made lockset – 100% metal. Rubberized foam gasket provides tight seal against your door.
This lockset will work on right hand and left hand doors. Just flip it over.
Dimensions: 3-1/2″ wide x 4-1/4″ tall
Fits doors that are 1-1/4″ to 1-1/2″ thick
Installs in latch cutouts that are 2-1/2″ wide x 3-1/2″ tall to 3″ wide x 4″ tall
This is a replacement kit for 1969 thru 1993 Airstream trailer owners having a difficult time finding original door latches. We have included sheets of aluminum and rivets for patching the old latch hole if necessary. You may, or may not, need depending on the year of your trailer and the size of your old latch setup.
KIT INCLUDES:
– Recessed RIGHT HAND polished chrome latch with dead-bolt w/mounting screws
– 2 keys
– Interior plate with pull handle and red deadbolt throw handle
– Door edge cover plate
– Strike plate for trailer frame
– Sheet of aluminum for exterior of door 10” x 4.5”
– Sheet of white powder coated aluminum for interior of door 10” x 4.5”
– 25 Olympic shaveable rivets – 5/32″ with Plastisol washer (5/5w)
– 25 Aluminum pop rivets – 1/8″
YOU WILL NEED:
– Tin snips to cut aluminum patch to fit your trailer (if necessary)
– Drill and bits for rivet holes
– Rivet gun to attach patches to your trailer’s door
– Sealant for exterior aluminum sheet
