Direct replacement for door locks used in 1970-1977 vintage Airstream, Argosy (some Minuets through 1979) and other campers. Installs in minutes with no modifications required to the camper. Includes numerous design improvements to address common failure points of the original locks. Natural aluminum finish. Item is new.

Exterior Face Plate Dimensions: 8″ wide x 3-3/8″ high

– Requires no modifications to the trailer. Installs in minutes.
– Multiple design improvements to address shortcomings in the original.

Design improvements include:
– Body and handle are CNC machined from solid aluminum.
– Wall thickness of the handle “pocket” is increased by 50% compared to original locks for increased durability.
– The roll pin which moves the latch mechanism is 50% larger than the original. All pins are high-strength coiled spring pins rather than slotted pins for increased sheer strength.
– The supports for the latch rod are 50% wider than the original design.
– Exterior handle is secured using stainless set screws instead of roll pins.
– Latch bolt and locking shaft are machined from stainless steel for durability and corrosion resistance.
